:24 DIARY
:24 JANUARY
Usually the start of the year is a new challenge, Jim went through catheterization and almost lost his life. He luckily survived and continue feeling well. We started having a social life in Florida and soon we met great people. We celebrate Jim's 93rd birthday at the clubhouse. Great party. We started enjoying the sun and the complex where we live, so a lot of thinking to decide if we would like to settle down here.

My 54th birthday came with a nice party at home and we also went to see Abba Voyage, which I enjoyed it very much. We also went to Veronica's party and eating out in some fancy restaurant in central London.

I made the decision in March to quit my job. A hard one but I thought it was the best to focus on Jim and my future, as it is clear we are going to move to the USA next year. I have my leaving do after working 18 years for the council. It was an overwhelming farewell.
My cousin Luciana came for a visit to London and I showed her the city. We also started getting ready for another trip to Fort Lauderdale. |

We visited several places including Jim born place. We also met up with several friends and stayed in amazing places. It was a challenge with me as I haven't driven for almost 15 years, but I enjoyed it immensely. Return back to Florida to soon depart to Europe. |

:23 DECEMBER
December started with Jim almost dying at the hospital, lots of plans for the next year and organising myself towards staying here in the USA. Ash came to visit us and staying for Xmas and the New Year. But I am happy that going between the UK and the USA was getting me very unsettled. Now I will start enjoying this new life here in FTL.

:24 In Memory
TrevorTrevor was undoubtably one of the main people you cannot get along with. He had a lovely charisma and that led him to meet Paul, his dedicated partner who compromised living with him at the other side of the world, Australia.
We will miss you Trevor! |
DavidMet David and his partner Derek during holidays in Gran Canaria and we have been in touch since... unfortunately David had Parkinson's and sadly deteriorated very quickly. We are going to miss his lovely sense of humour. North London would never be the same !
|
JoseWith Jose we had a lovely relationship as he became his trustful friend and we enjoyed a few years full of fun. He was a loving and compassionate man that he used to win everyone's heart. He was a perfect gent in every way. It's hard to forget someone who gave us so much to remember. I will dearly miss him a lot!

DaveOur neighbour in our complex in Florida, Dave become one of my favourite in the place. He used to join us for lunch close to the pool where I thought him some tricks about using his mobile phone. He was a popular man in the bars. He will be missed by many.

DubeDube used to join us at the bars in Florida and soon started going out with our group to several events and dinners. He loves touching my hairy legs but he was very shy. His last trip was in the UK and Ireland. We went to see the Mousetrap. He returned to USA and died in his sleep. R.I.P. Dube
